Well be resting one more day, I have too much yard work to catch up on.

I will start a 3 day split on Wed, similiar to what I was doing. With this, more rest will be involved but at the same time the frequency will be picked up. I will stick with this until the New Year.

Monday, October 29, 2007

Well, the show is over and I have had some time to relax.

I am going to keep this short!
It was a good time and I was the most relaxed going into the show.
I place 7th out of 15 guys in the pro class. Now, I did reach my goals of being in the top half and looking better than I did last year. But the competitor in me felt, that I should have been in the top 5. Plenty of people also thought I should have been there too. So instead of getting pissed off, I now know I deserve to be on the pro stage and will improve my placing the next time. The plan is to compete again in 2009, for the fact of giving the body a break and to build a little more.

Pictures will be coming soon.

I plan on resuming training tomorrow with a 3 day split.

Thanks for everyones support

I will do the calipers later today.
Just did the 3 spot calipers.
Total number was 12 was = 3.8 percent.
I am not expecting for this to move much more, maybe 1 to 2 mm more.

The good news is the my weight has level off from eating the extra carbs.
But the bad news is being at this weight a little to early since I still have 8 weeks to go.

3 weeks ago I was at 152, so I guess droping close to three fat pounds is not bad. I would like to stay at this weight or just a drop of 1/2 for the next week.

I did weigh myself and I was down another pound. Not sure if its from fat or water loss from being sick so I didnt bf myself.

Rest Day today and yesterday!

The family had a great time at Great Wolf Lodge. My wife and I felt like kids again.
Of course the diet was way off! But it felt good to take a 2 day off period from training, meal planning and supps. So back to work tomorrow with a fresh head.

Good workout today with a nice pump.

The next two days, the diet will not be tracked but will not get crazy. Going away for the day and night, so no training the next two days.
This coming Sat will be 26 weeks outs from the show. I am still holding off on pictures for 2 more weeks, then will take them every 4th week to track progres. I will then decide at the 16 week mark if I will compete or not.

So, I have decided to cycle two passes of the four day split then 2 passes of the 6 day split, then repeat. I think it will be a good mix of shorter intense and volume training.

Bent over row: 2 warms, 205/7,7 drop set
Rope Pulldown" 1 warm, 85/11,10 drop set

Friday, April 06, 2007

Weigh in:

BW, 164.5 BF: hand held, 11 percent
Body weight has not moved too much, but the BF has according to the hand held tester. Since Jan 5th, I have lost only 2 pounds, but droped over 1 1/2 percent BF. Basically, that tells me the weight lost has been from BF only. Its interesting, but we will see.

Also, after some thought, I will be changing up the training again. I have been doing a 6 day split for the last few weeks, and although I do like the seperate workout for the hams/calves, and delts, I will put a 4 day split into the rotation to pick up the frequency. For example, after a go through the 6 day split with a rest day somewhere, I will do a 4 day split, then rest, and then repeat with the 6 day and so on. I will give this a try for a couple of months.

Bike for 26 minutes moderate intensity

Friday, March 23, 2007

Check in:

BW: 163.5

BF hand held: 11.3
BF calipers: 5.8, total 18mm

Happy with the current results. Down a couple of pound over the past month plus, and droped BF by more than a percent. Again, I think each measurement is off, one being too high and the other too low, so taking the average is about right, 8.5 percent.
